Sri Ekambara Nadheswara Temple, Navalur Serpananchery, Padapai

Moolavar: Sri Ekambara Nadheswarar
Amman: Sri Kamakshi Ambal

A very old depleted temple which looks to be easily over 500 years. The temple is facing east and Ambal kamakshi is facing south. All the other Sannidhies have been lost in time and you can only see few remains. There is also a very old murugan temple too in the village, which was built in 1941. It is said that temple is in the south east of Kanchi Ekambareswarar temple.

Sri Subramanian along with valli devasena is kept in the ambal’s Arthamandapam.you can see Chandikeswarar vigraham which is broken.

The sun light directly falls on the moolavar Sri Ekambara Nadheswarar.

There are two Nandis next to each other which is very unique and is not found in any shiva temple. It is said that one Nandhi is looking at the moolavar here and the other Nandhi is looking towards Thirvannamalai.

It is said that if you visit this tenple it is equal to visiting both Kanchi Ekambareswarar as well as Thiruvannamalai at the same time.
