Arulmigu Perumbakeshwarar Temple, Perumbakkam

Moolavar: Perumbakeshwarar
Amman: Meenakshi Ambal

A very old Sivalingam with square Avudayar with very old Nandhi is all that is there in a palalayam and the main temple with all Sannidhis are getting constructed. There is separate Sannidhi for Pillayar alone now and Dhakshinamoorthy facing south in the goshtam of the newly constructed grabhagraham.

There is an Aadhi Sivalingam which apparently is over 300 years old under the peepal tree. It’s very beautiful to see how it’s stuck to the roots of the tree.

In the same premise, there is a Pazhandi Amman who is the Grama devathai of Perumbakkam.
Also, there is a temple for Sridevi and Bhoodevi sametha Sri Sathyanarayana Perumal. In the praharam there is a separate Sannidhi for Anjaneyar.

On the back of all these temples is a beautiful Lotus pond with padithurai and lot of fishes. People visit here in the evenings to feed the fishes.

The temple is on the Perumbakkam main road itself and can be easily accessed.
