A divine temple which is located 5 kms from Poonamallee, located in a small Agraharam lane. It is said that the temple is 1200 years old and was built by Nandhi Varman. There pallavas have also contributed towards the welfare of this tenmple and you can see fish symbols on the ceiling showing that even Pandyas have also done Thirupani for this temple.

The earlier Moolavar Kimleeswarar was broken so it was moved under a Neem and Peepal tree you can find outside the temple and the new moolavar’s sivalingam was apparently brought here from Kasi and installed in the 80s. Since then there has been no single villager here who has not visited Kasi from here.

Within the inner paraham there is a vinayagar as well as Murugan with his consorts valli and Devasena. Moolavar is facing east and Ambal is facing south. There ia also a Navagraha Sannidhi within the inner maha Mandapam.

Outside the temple there a unique well where cows can walk down the steps and drink water. It is said those days there were many cows in this village and milk was being supplied to nearby village called Palavakkam.

The entrance is from the South side and interesting fact is that Ambal doesn’t have vimanam. The outer praharam has Nandhi mandapam, Balipredam and Kodi Maram. It seems all Utsavams were being celebrated earlier and now the temple very badly needs a Rennovation and Kumbhabhishekam to be performed.
