A good 800 plus year old temple located in the village of Meyyur. It is a Rahu Kethu Parihara Sthalam. People worship here to get rid of marriage obstacles and for children. Abishekam is done to Natarajar of this temple for six times in a year. Thala Vriksham is Arasa Maram.
The moolavar Sri Velli Eswarar is a beautiful Swayambhu murthy on a square Avudayar. It is said that Sri Kamandala Sidhar worshipped Shiva at this place and you can see a separate Sannidhi for this siddhar here.
Natarajar has a Nandhi facing him which is very unique in this temple.
Ambal Sri Vedhambigai is having a separate Sannidhi and is facing south. She is called as the Ambal for all 4 vendam and hence the place is called Sadhuranga patinam and later it’s become Sadras.
The moolavar is also called Bhargaveeswarar and it is said that Shukra bhagawan has worshiped the moolavar here and hence the name Velleeswarar.
