This famous sivan temple is situated in Sriperumbudur. This is an Ancient temple with over 1500 yrs of history. Kulothunga chola and Pandyas have built this temple. It is believed that all the bootha ganas have worshiped this lord and hence the name Boodhapureeswarar. The ancient name of this area has been Boodhapuri.

Amman Soundaravalli is facing east in this temple which is unique and said to be the ardhanarishwara dharshanam.

Byravar is closer to the Nandhi in the worshipping position which is also unique

People believe that , they get rid of all their problems, after praying to this god.
