A good 1500 plus year old temple in the interior village of Thandalam. The base structure has still been maintained in its old age charm. The vimanam for both the Sannidhi has been recently been built. Well maintained praharam and the inner walls have around 12 Thirumurais painted.
The main deity lord Kailasanathar in the form lingam is facing the east and Kamatchi Amman facing the south in a standing position. Separate Sannidhi for lord Ganesha and lord Subramanian with his consorts Valli and Deivaanai is seen.
A peaceful surrounding with a pond outside. There is no dhwajasthambam
