Lord Vishnu and Goddess Mahalakshmi in order to get relieved from the curse of Kanva Maharishi prayed to Lord Shiva as Vanmeekanathar in Tiruporur.
Goddess Mahalakshmi took the form of a Neem tree in Tiruporur and did penance. There is a temple for Lord Vinayaka under this Neem Tree near this Pranavamalai-Known as Vembadi Vinayakar.
Lord Mahavishnu and Goddess Mahalakshmi are said to have worshipped Lord Kailsanatha and Balambika on top of Pranavamalai Hill
Pranavamalai Girivalam:
Performing Giripradakshina around PranavaMalai on all days is good. It is around 2-3 Km and takes 30-40 minutes to perform girivalam around the hill
