Moolavar: Sri Aadhi Kuberagiri Gnanapureeswarar
Amman: Sri Adhignana Vaalai
A very old temple on the foothills of Kuberagiri on the Chengalpattu main road. Swamy is facing west and Ambal facing south. Ambal has a bunch of olachuvadi in her left hand, it is said to be the naaadi of all Jeevarasi. The Swamy is Swayambhu and it is said it could be a jeevasamadhi of a Siddhar. The ghostam is in hexagon shape and has all Ghoshta murthies.
There is Mahakalingaraya Eeshwarar temple on top of the Kuberagiri. A small shivalingam with Nandhi and Bali peedam under a shed that’s been built like 6 months ago. An amazing trekking experience to the top of the hill with beautiful view from top. His consort Moongil Amman is at the foot hill and she is the Gramadevathai of Pazhaveli. It is said to be over 800 years old. It is said that there were 108 Siddhars who have lived on top of this hill.
A must visit temple specially on top of the hill. Serene, Pleasant and Peaceful place. Karthigai Deepam is lit on top of the Kuberagiri during Karthigai month. People also go Girivalam here.
