Sri Malayapadasar Temple, Manimangalam

Moolavar: Sri Malayapadasar
Amman: Sri Mangala Eswari

A Chola period temple which was completely destroyed in times and currently under a small made shift sheeted roof temple. Earlier the sivalingam and Nandhi alone was found buried in the ground and the local villagers have taken it out and made a small temple.

Manimangalam is a historical site. The great battle between the Chalukya King Pulikesi and the Pallava King Narasimha Pallava was fought in Manimangalam in the 7th century CE. The locality has few ancient temples and a must visit for all.

Now a small sannadi for Mangalamurthy Vinayagar and Valli Deivayanai samedha Subramaniam Swamy can be seen.

Ambal Mangalaeswari is facing south in a small sannidhi and daily pujas are conducted by a sivanadiyar.

Contact: The sivanadiyar Mr.Kandan can be reached at 9751326747
