A very old shivalingam was found in the midst of thorny shrubs couple of years ago near the Kachabeswarar temple, which currently has been installed in a small temple. It is said that the shivalingam is more than 1000 years old and could be at the same time as Kachabeswarar temple.
There is no Ambal and the swamy Avudayar is round signifying that some kings must have got it installed those years. There is a Small Nandhi and balipeedam.
Daily puja has been done by local villagers. Very peaceful and beautiful village to be visited and Also people should visit all 3 shiva temples in this village Marundeeswarar, Erandheeswarar and Kachabeeswarar
Location: Sri Kalyana Pasupatheeswarar Temple, Thirukachur, Maraimalainagar, Chengalpattu
