Sri Kasi Viswanathar Temple, Kollumedu Village, Thiruvallur

Moolavar:Sri Kasi Viswanathar

Amman:Sri Kasi Visalakshi Ambal

A 1000 years old temple and has been rennovated in the year 2012. The moolavar Kasi Viswanathar is facing east is on a square Avudayar. This signifies that sidhargal must have worshipped him many years ago.

Ambal Kasi Visalakshi is facing south and both the Sannidhis are within the maha mandapam. Pillayar and Valli Deivayanai Samedha Murugan can be seen. Visalakshi is exactly like how we see in Kasi, with Japa malai in her right front hand and kamandalam in her left and on the right top hand she is holding a sivalingam and left hand has a small Pillayar. Behind the moolavar Ambal there is another Ambal vigraham.

It’s a beautiful temple and is maintained by Lingayat community from north Karnataka and daily pujas are performed both in the morning and evening.
