Moolavar: Sri Agastheeswarar
Amman: Sri Akhilandeswari
A good 1400 year old temple which apparently had been completely in deplited condition and the local villagers had got together and had built a nice temple here in the middle of the field. The sivalingam, Akhilandeswari Nandhi, surya bhagawan and balipeedam alone very old and the ASI has confirmed that it’s dated over 1400 years old.
The shivalingam seems to be Swayambhu and is on an a square avudayar. Ambal Akhilandeswari is facing south. In the ghostam you have vinayagar, Dhakshinamoorthy, lingotgbavar, Bramha, and Durgai. The earlier chandeekeswara has been replaced with a new idol as it was broken.
There is a separate Sannidhi for byravar and a beautiful big Ardhanareeswarar Sannidhi is also found here.
Very peaceful atmosphere and in the middle of a field it’s really a place to be visited.
