Sri Arunachaleeswarar Temple, Puduchathiram, Thiruvallur

Moolavar: Sri Arunachaleeswarar
Amman: Sri Sornambikai

A very old temple on the Chennai Thiruvallur Road which easily could be over 800 plus years. The moolavar Arunachaleswarar is facing east and Ambal sornambikai is facing south.

The prakaram has Nandhi mandapam, Bali peedam and in the ghostam there is Narthana vinayagar, Dhakshinamurthy, Mahavishnu, Bramha, Durgai and Chandikeswarar. There is a separate Navagraha Sannidhi which was built during 1965. There  is a Kala Byravar murthy as well as Suryabhgavan here. Apparently Chandran is missing. There is a Naagar at the entrance wall of the Arthamandapam.

This temple seriously needs a Rennovation and as always there is no support from any official body. There is also a beautiful Temple Tank in the South side and also a  Hanuman temple right behind the temple which also belongs to this temple and a beautiful Veera Anjaneyar facing south.
