Moolavar: Sri Bhoominadheeswarar
Amman: Sri Keliamman
A Swayambhu shiva lingam under a huge peepal tree and close to Keliamman temple. There is a beautiful temple tank beside and the temple has been made in a shed. A Swayambhu Pillayar is formed on the tree itself.
The name Kelambakkam has come us because of this Ambal called Keliamman.
There is also a naagar found next to the shivalingam. Swamy is in a square Avudayar which shows that Siddhars have worshipped this shivalingam.
Even though the shed is covered completely the Sun light in the morning directly falls on the shivalingam for few minutes.
It’s a very peaceful area away from the hustle and bustle of the city and is opened all the time. Very neatly maintained and must visit temple. Ideal for meditation
