Kambarpatti is in Natham taluk of Dindigul district. The Athmalingeswarar Udanurai Mata Bhuvaneswari Amman Temple was built here a few years ago. If you visit this temple, you can see 1008 Shivalingas at one place.
This beautiful temple is located in Kambarpatti near Gopalpatti. Sachidananda Swamigal, a Shiva follower, says that many yugas ago, Siddha Ramadeva worshipped here and he knew with his wisdom that there was a huge Shiva temple at the bottom of this place
The temple is the pinnacle of his love for Lord Shiva. Beginning in 1998, the first consecration of the temple was held on May 6, 2012 as the Athmalingeswarar temple with Bhuvaneswari Ammal in the following years. One day, while he was sleeping, Lord Shiva appeared from the Linga and asked him to build 2016 Shivalingas, one Sahasralinga and 1007 Lingas and install them. By the grace of Lord Shiva, he got the land for this and started the work.
So far, people have donated 1008 Shivalingas. There are 1008 Shivalingas in a single temple, a 20 feet long grand school made of a single stone weighing 80 tons, Nandeeswarar, the Machavatharam of Tirumal, Kurma Avataram, Varaha Avataram, Vamana Avataram, Narasimha Avataram, Parasurama Avataram, Balarama Avataram, Rama Avataram and Krishna Avataram.
The flag post has Lords Brahmma, Saraswathi, Linga and Nandeeswarar on the four sides.
