A very old shivalingam was found here on a small mount in an open ground near the Chennai Outer Ring Road at Kaavalchery which was been worshiped by the locals and maintained by a couple. Nobody knows how old the shivalingam is and you can see old bricks around 15 inches big indicating that it’s very ancient.
A very serene and peaceful place right adjacent to the Chennai ring road towards Poonamallee.
Ambal Maragadhambikai is seen facing south and very next to the moolavar. The entire shed structure is been built by locals and daily one Kala pujai is performed. There a mahavilavam tree which has twelve leaves.
