Sri Ekambareswarar Temple, Nanmangalam

Moolavar: Sri Ekambareswarar
Amman: Sri Kamatchi ambal
Place: Nanmangalam, Chennai

The temple is 1200 years old and has SIVA-VISHNU in the form for lingam depicting "HARA-HARI". This Linga is unique of its own and also found in temple in Chengalpattu.

Devotees are blessed with relief of Sarpa-Grahana dosham. The temple at Nanmangalam village near the present day Pallavaram is one such old temple.

The presiding diety here is Sri Kamatchi Ambal samedha Ekambareswarar. This is one of the few temples which is as good as the temple in Kanchipuram. This sthalam is one of the pratana stalam and the dhosha parihara sthalam.

Several devotees have prayed to the lord of this temple and have had their wishes fullfilled.

The stone age structure of lord shiva was unattended in the bush for years until some locals found out in early 90’s and the same is taken care to have a proper temple built.
