A beautiful village that can be reached through Uthukadu. The village is called Neikuppam, the moolavar has been here for many years. Initially only the Linga banam was there and later years they have got a new square Avudayar and built a new temple around. It is said that Navadurga’s are still worshiping him here and hence the name Durga Parameshwarar.

Ambal is facing south and has been newly installed, called Gowri amman. In the outer praharam there is a beautiful Ganapathy which is very old Thirumeni been got from another temple and installed here.

Lord Shiva worshipped as Durga Parameswarar, signifying the inseparable union of Shiva and Shakti (Divine Consciousness and Divine Energy).
