Sri Padaleeswarar Temple is an ancient Shiva temple at Aiyankulam, Kanchipuram. For many years, the Shiva Lingam remained beneath a small tree. When the temple was recently constructed facing east, the original Lingam was respectfully retained in its original location, resulting in a beautifully designed shrine built around it.
