Moolavar: Sri Kappeeswarar
Amman: Sri Ennachiamman
A beautiful temple in the village of Annatur in Chengalpattu district is said to be over 800 years old, other than that no major history is found about the temple. The temple is facing east and Sri Kappeeswarar is seen on a square Avudayar, signifying that some rishis or siddhars must have worshiped it.
Ambal Ennachiamman is facing south and apparently in 2012 the temple was renovated and the Pillayar, Valli Deivayanai samedha Subramanya swamy and Kala Byravar vigrams were shifted out of the maha Mandapam and installed in separate sannidhi.
The outer praharam has a separate Sannidhi for Navagrahaas which seems to be a latest addition. The Nandhi is very beautiful and is seen seated in a very straight posture.
Contact: Daily one Kala pujai happens and the temple is opened by 6:30 am. A sivanadiyar named Saravana Vel is taking care of the daily puja and can be reached on 9600617445
Location: Sri Kappeeswarar Temple, Annathur, Uthiramerur, Kancheepuram
