Sri Mutratheeswarar Kailasanathar Temple, Vayalanallur, Thiruvallur

Moolavar: Sri Mutratheeswarar Kailasanathar

Amman: Sri Periyanayagi

A chola period temple, said to be close to 1150 years which has been completely destroyed.  Currently being renovated by the local villagers. The temple is surrounded by beautiful temple tank. The moolavar is a huge sivalingam and is on a square Avudayar.

The Temple is located at a walkable distance from Vayalanallur Murugan temple which is well known as the BramhaSastha Vigraham. We can see the 6 feet Murugan with a japa malai and kamandalam in the other hand.

The Vayalanallur village actually belongs to old Chola period and should have been a very prosperous village with very big temples, now there is only few traces of the old history.

Contact: The temple is opened by 6:30 am and daily one Kala pujai is performed and the Sivanadiyar Rajan can be reached on 9790811331
