Sri Kasi Vishwanathar Temple, Mangadu

Moolavar: Sri Kasi Vishwanathar
Amman: Sri Kasi Visalakshi Amman
Place: Mangadu, Chennai

The sivalingam is good 1500 years old and was found in the pond nearby for many years and people used to call the pond “linga kuttai” and few years ago and the localities have established a small temple and have installed this 4 1/12 feet lingam. You can see the images of how it was found initially and the installation

Slowly they are developing the temple and looks like they need lot of support to get this to a good shape.

The pond is being extended and plans to install around 1000 lingams around it.

You can see the ghosta murthies as well as Navagraha Sannidhi. A beautiful Byravar statue has been recently installed.

We were really gifted today to see the Linga Moorthy. The way how it was earlier and how it was installed now was amazing. More than that the localities are more gifted to build the small temple and pond also 1000 lingams are planned to be installed surrounding the pond.
