Moolavar: Sri Vaidheeswarar
Amman: Sri Thaiyalnayaghi
Place: Perumbakkam, Chennai
A beautiful Shiva temple in the backdrop of Bolineni hills at Perumbakkam. This square shaped avudayar Lingam was found in the pond nearby. While the cleaning the pond the same is recovered and a temple was built by the side. The look and the finishing of the Lingam seems to be around 1000 years old but there is no evidence or anything to prove the same. All other idols are recently sculptured one. Locals maintain this temple very well.
Recently say a year before renovation was carried out and consecration was done in a grand manner. All Hindus auspicious days in calendar are celebrated.
Every theipirai astami & prathosam and full moon days are special days & Pooja's performed around 6 pm onwards
