Sri Nagabharaneeswarar Temple, Thiruporur

The Temple is a 1400 years old temple built by Raja Raja Cholan of Thanjavur. The lord has been worshipped by Agasthiar and known as Rahu Ketu parihara sthalam.

Very peaceful and serene temple and lord Shivan known as Nagabharaneeswarar is Swayambhu. You have separate Sannidhi for pillayar, Ayyappan, Valli Devayanai Samedha Subramanian, Agasthiar, Sri lalithambigai. Gajalakshmi and Navagrahas. Apparently most of the vigraham has been unearthed while excavation and have been installed in sannidhis.

There is a separate Sannidhi for Sri Chithraguptar. Also you can see the Navagrahas with their consorts which you find in very few temples. The temple opens by 6:30 am
