A good 900 years old temple with a huge sivalingam with a huge Avudayar. The earlier name for Neelangarai has been Nerlagandapuram based on this lord and later has chafed to the present day name of Neelangarai.
This place is considered very powerful for praying for all kind of illness.
The Sannidhi has a beautiful vigraham of Sri Neelambari Amman. Also a separate Sannidhi for Sri Sivashakthi Vinayagar which is alp very old vigraham.There are other Sannidhis for Subramanian and Lord Ayyappan.
